Bi-directional constant power

The SM15K Series offers power supplies with excellent efficiency, stability, and flexibility, featuring constant power output that significantly broadens the voltage and current range compared to traditional power supplies.
Programming is easily managed via the front UI, web interface, or Ethernet. Optional plug-and-play interface cards provide additional interfacing options and enhanced functionality. The Master/slave interface enables parallel operation of up to 60 units, creating high-power systems capable of delivering up to 27,000 A. Learn more about these high-power systems here.

 

Bi-directional Power Flow

The SM15K series standard offers bi-directional power flow, with the ability to absorb 100% of the power, and is symmetric across both quadrants. Voltage and current are fully programmable from zero to maximum. Delta's innovative Power Regeneration Technology ensures up to 95% efficiency by returning full power to the grid, eliminating the need for expensive water-cooling systems. This leads to cost savings, reduced carbon footprint, and highly efficient, compact test setups ideal for battery, PV, and inverter applications.

 

Flexible output

The SM15K series delivers unmatched versatility and flexibility with its constant power output characteristic. It adapts seamlessly to varying voltage and current requirements, offering performance equivalent to three traditional power supplies with a rectangular VI-curve or autoranging output. This results in exceptional value and adaptability.

Additionally, the Master/Slave interface enhances flexibility by allowing parallel operation of up to 60 units. This setup enables a total current output range of -27,000 to 27,000 A. Users can easily adjust the number of units through available output assembly kits, offering greater customization and scalability to meet diverse needs, while maintaining excellent dynamic performance.

 

Exceptional Dynamic Response

The SM15K series boasts an extremely good dynamic response to load changes, recovering its output voltage in just 200 µs after a load change from full positive current to full negative current and vice versa. This outstanding dynamic response allows for rapid load variations while ensuring stable and reliable performance. See the data sheet for more information. 

 

Comprehensive Functionality

Equipped with features such as Ethernet interface, built-in sequencer, PC control software, fine-tune settings, and sink mode, the SM15K series offers comprehensive functionality out of the box. Additionally, optional plug-and-play interfaces are available for enhanced versatility, supporting master/slave operation, digital I/O, various communication interfaces, and analog programming.
